Thank you, Laurie's Friend!

Tonight we tried a little place that Laurie's friend recommended.
La Trattoria da Leonida. Very quaint.

Mom ordered a Bolognese staple, tortellinis in broth. They were light and delicate and delicioso.

And what, you might ask, is this thing?
Is it a mound of cous cous with some chick peas rolling around on it?
Of course not! Why it's a mushroom flan with teeny tiny meatballs in tomato sauce. It was light and delicate and mushroomy and out of this world.

And for dessert, this is just too good. Picture this:
A light crispy meringue. Now take that meringue and slather it in sweetened whipped cream. Now take that whipped cream covered meringue and FREEZE it. And wait, wait, not done yet. Let's pour a rich decadent chocolate sauce all over it! Oh why god, why?
